About the Founder
Local roots. Big standards.
Gavin Smith was born and raised in the small town of St. Andrews, New Brunswick, where he grew up watching local businesses — the shops, cafés, and family-run services — shape the community around him. That’s where his commitment to local, community-first work comes from.
Along the way he attended Rothesay Netherwood School, where he balanced a rigorous academic program with competitive hockey. That experience taught him the value of focus, consistency, and showing up prepared.
He’s now an aspiring business, marketing, and design student who currently plays Junior hockey. Between the rink and the classroom, he brings the same mindset to every website: pay attention to the details, do the work properly, and keep improving.
Combining that discipline with a natural pull toward technology and design, he founded GS Web Design Co. to help local businesses succeed in an increasingly digital world — because when a local business does well, the whole community benefits.
